Be Lanarkshire
To complement the two existing sites, BeLanarkshire was launched in May 2014. BeLanarkshire is an
online training portal aimed at those working within the Lanarkshire service sector, in
particular the region’s tourism and hospitality industry. The module is designed to provide
education on the sector’s value, as well as build the profile of the destination and ensure that visitors
and service users receive a high quality experience.
The online programme is free and takes around two hours to complete, and educates and tests participants
on areas of essential knowledge and skills in the tourism sector.
The module includes sections: The Lanarkshire Experience, Exceeding Customer Expectations,
Maintaining Positive Attitude, Handling Customer Feedback and Continually Improving.
