Revenues (business rates)
The non-domestic rates, or business
rates, are collected by local councils.
This is the means by which businesses
and others who occupy non-domestic
property make a contribution towards
the cost of local services provided by
the Borough Council, Kent County
Council and Kent Police.
The Council's Revenue services team
provides information, advice and
guidance on business rates for the
borough of Tunbridge Wells. This
includes information on the treatment of
businesses with rateable values below
certain thresholds, exemptions and relief
for charities and some rural businesses.
