Research and Information 

To help companies gain an understanding of 
ManchesterÕs assets, MIDAS provides a range of 
bespoke research services. These services include case-
specific data to support the business case for relocation, 
market validation through access to Manchester-based 
business professionals who can undertake an evaluation 
of the business proposition, demographic data and 
introductions to the universities. 

Property services 

The Manchester City Region is the largest regional 
property market in the UK, with around 20 million sq ft 
of office space in Manchester city centre alone. In 
addition, the area has an impressive array of business 
parks, high-quality industrial units and distribution 
accommodation. MIDAS offers a comprehensive property 
advisory service that draws on our extensive experience 
in identifying the right property solution for clientÕs 
requirements, which includes a property database, 
location advice and an agent liaison service. 

Recruitment and training services 

MIDAS offers advice on factors such as the local labour 
market, recruitment agencies, training providers and 
information on access to training grants.

Personal Relocation Services

Working in partnership 

Many of these MIDAS objectives are delivered in 
partnership with other regional and sub-regional 
agencies, such as the Northwest Regional Development 
Agency (NWDA), the ten Greater Manchester local 
authorities, Manchester Enterprises, Marketing 
Manchester and Manchester: Knowledge Capital. MIDAS 
works closely with membership organisations such as 
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and 
pro.manchester, as well as with Manchester Airport, the 
universities and business schools, the Learning and 
Skills Council, Business Link and the regional/ 
sub-regional cluster and sector organisations.
