| Business meets Education New Gateway brings New Hope The launch of The Hope Business Gateway will give businesses the support and advice they need at a time when being at the top of your business game is more important than ever. L iverpool Hope University has launched The Hope Business Gateway providing a one-stop shop to businesses that want to work with the university. It will help organisations to access a wide range of expertise and services which include collaborative and applied research, consultancy, specialist training programmes, accreditation services, and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. Through regular contact The Hope Business Gateway will keep businesses up-to-date with new initiatives and funding opportunities as well as providing a link to relevant Business Support Agencies. New developments Spring 2009 saw the commencement of building work at the universityÕs Cornerstone campus in Everton. The £6m development will take an estimated 11 months to complete and will bring together students, employers and the wider community in a quality environment providing new learning opportunities which directly connect to employment opportunities and the start up of new businesses in the creative industries. Urban Hope Staff at the university are always looking for new ways to foster links between higher education and the business community. Urban Hope, for example, is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Liverpool Hope University with expertise in the areas of widening access, regeneration and enterprise.
