3MG 
Widnes-based 3MG is one of the UKÕs largest dedicated logistics parks. It offers unrivalled access to the UKÕs deep-sea ports with daily train services to Felixstowe, Purfleet and Southampton. 3MG also places logistics and retail businesses at the heart of the motorway network and on the doorstep of two expanding international airports. Currently benefiting from a £100m investment programme, the site has 750,000 sq ft of distribution sheds and outline consent for 1.8 million sq ft of new buildings, rising to 3.5 million sq ft of space.

Business Parks Improvement Programme (BPIP) 
The Business Parks Improvement Programme aims to regenerate HaltonÕs business parks by: 
Enhancing the physical environment 
Reducing and designing-out crime 
Attracting new businesses 
and investment 
Safeguarding and creating jobs 
Improving businessesÕ 
environmental performance 
Making these areas desirable places 
to do business. 
Two business parks have become Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and the programme focus has switched to complementing existing regeneration activities on Widnes Waterfront. Overall the programme will improve communication between businesses, landowners, developers and the council and seek to resolve any pertinent estate-wide issues. 


Canal Quarter 
By building on the existing assets of the Bridgewater Canal and The Brindley, HaltonÕs award-winning theatre and arts centre, The Canal Quarter development aims to reinvigorate Runcorn town centre. The scheme will provide residential accommodation, retail, office and leisure facilities alongside a new library and public realm enhancements.
