New Business Centre Delivers 
Value to Knowledge-based SMEs

Specialist property operation Liverpool Innovation Park (LIP) reports rapid uptake of offices in its recently opened Baird House Business Centre by knowledge-based SMEs. Despite the current economic malaise, LIP is seeing enquiry levels stabilize. Innovation Manager, Mark Tock, said, ÒIf anything, the quality of enquiries has improved and we are pleased that successful knowledge-based companies appreciate the value of the LIP proposition.Ó 
Existing interest from entrepreneurs means that LIP may need to extend  the Business Centre earlier than originally planned. In the current market, offices ranging from single person (100 sq ft) to 500 sq ft units with access to a dedicated boardroom offered on flexible terms at cost effective rates are attracting innovative firms taking positive steps to weather the current economic climate. Among others, current tenants include: games developer Spiral House; web designers S Design 1 Ltd; internet marketing e-Blueprint Ltd; and software company SoProtectMe.com Ltd.

The Business Centre plays host to a lounge enabling tenants to readily access business support professionals. It also enables small firms to locate within a dynamic business community comprised of start-ups, SMEs, and multi-national companies many of whom are potential suppliers, partners and customers. At the same time, LIP residents are able to benefit from access to two 100 Mb fibres brought in by fellow tenant, Aimes Grid Services, who operates a data centre on site.
