In recent years Sevenoaks town has been transformed by the development of the Blighs Meadow shopping complex, bringing many top-end retailers to the area and contributing towards a strong retail and service sector. Tourism plays a major factor in the DistrictÕs economic success with internationally recognised attractions including Chartwell, Hever, Knole House and Penshurst Place benefitting the local service sector.
