Quartermile news 
Legal firm Maclay Murray & Spens 
has moved into approximately 47,000 sq ft of the Grade A office building, making it the companyÕs new Edinburgh headquarters.

Construction has also commenced 
on a new 52,500 sq ft, six-storey office development - Quartermile Two. This will bolster the new business district being created at Quartermile and will also include around 7,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant accommodation at ground floor level. 

Quartermile Two is scheduled 
to complete in October 2009 
and will form the eastern edge of Quartermile Square at the heart 
of the development. The square will also feature a boutique hotel created
from two Grade B listed buildings originally created by architects Sydney Mitchell and Wilson.

Another leading legal company, Morton Fraser, has agreed to lease 
the top four floors of the Quartermile Two building. The firm, which employs over 260 staff throughout the UK, has signed a 15-year lease for 36,178 sq ft and will be relocating its Edinburgh office to Quartermile from its existing base in Queen Street.

The developmentÕs exceptional location and contemporary design 
is attracting significant global interest both as a place to live and a rare investment opportunity. 

As well as EdinburghÕs first Swedish bakery, PeterÕs Yard, the retail units within the Quartermile development 
fronting onto Middle Meadow Walk are also home to high street names SainsburyÕs and Starbucks.
