ROAD Edinburgh City is connected well by road with journey times of approximately one hour from Glasgow (M8), two hours 35 minutes from Newcastle (A1) and six hours and 50 minutes from London (M25and M5). Park and Ride schemes around the city centre offer travellers some 2,585parking spaces on four sites at Ferrytoll, Ingliston, Hermiston and Newcraighall. Two more Park and Ride sites are planned for the city. The city's car parks offer over 4,400parking spaces and are located all around the city - the largest of which is at Greenside Place, north east of the Castle, offering 1,030 spaces.
